Millbridge Court was buzzing with warmth, connection, and creativity as our incredible community of artists and stylists came together—not just to learn, but to lift each other up.

From shared experiences to deep, meaningful conversations, new friendships were formed and ideas shared. Every moment was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do—because education isn’t just about skills, it’s about people. The support, the encouragement, the magic of being surrounded by those who just get it—this is what Gather + Grow is all about.

Thank you again for being part of this journey with us. Here’s a rundown of what happened:

Tuesday:

Mark John - After knowing so many of our Gather + Grow community following Mark and his journey throughout lockdown, it was great to see him in action. Not only was he incredible at showcasing hacks to help on a wedding morning but his knowledge about the industry and expertise was second to none. He also offered valuable insights into social media and working on production after his stints on Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing. Not to mention, he was absolutely hilarious!

The Curl Directive - After joining us at Hyde last year, we know how much you loved the session with Tasha and Cimone, we had to invite them back! This time, we had the lovely Tasha joining us because Cimone was literally in labour during the time, sending all of our love her way! The session offered extensive knowledge into different curl types as well products to use and different techniques. We think it is fair to say that everyone came away inspired and more confident working with curly hair brides. Make sure you check out their online masterclasses coming up!

Olga Markuse - Having Olga join us was a real treat. Again her work is effortless and beautiful but she also offered valuable advice and help on face framing and styling, event to the point of cutting her models hair! She was so kind and so effortlessly funny, we know the group learnt a lot from her as well as how to use certain products that had just been sat in their kits being unused. Olga will be hosting her own masterclass in October, when we have more information we will send it over!

Zoe (The Vibe Education) - Following our November event, Zoe and her approach to business were so well received, we needed to have her with us again for this Gather + Grow event. On Tuesday, Zoe covered goal setting and creating your own version of success, whilst on the Wednesday it was centred around PR and working with brands. Throughout her coaching, Zoe wants each of us to feel and show up as authentically as we can and understands that no business owner is the same. Her openness, kindness and humour meant the sessions were engaging, insightful and invaluable.

Wednesday:

Kristina Gasperas - We were so grateful for Kirstina stepping in last minute. She created her signature bridal look and safe to say she is an industry icon. How she works at the calibre she does, all over the world, and remain that humble is mind boggling to us. I think it’s fair to say that all of the MUA’s that attended learnt so much from her and her experiences and have a shopping list as long as their arms!

Sarah Shuttle - We were personally so excited to listen to Sarah because by just looking at her portfolio, the work she creates is stunning! Her session was focussed on ‘Building your brand’ as a luxury Bridal HMU. She showcased her process to creating a brand specific to each business owner and the steps we should all go through to creating our brand and attracting our dream client. She really is an expert at what she does, so please do check her out if you are considering a rebrand.

Natalie Rose Vella - Watching and speaking to Natalie before Gather + Grow, we could see how much value she was going to bring to the event. We had not anticipated the amount of knowledge she has! Her approach to colour theory, personalisation and what felt like pure science gave us the ‘lightbulb’ moment so many times throughout. Her natural ability to educate and translate her ideas and knowledge to the group was amazing. She also showcased her newest baby, her IYKO makeup bag, if you haven’t already, run now.

One of our favorite parts of Gather + Grow events is curating a goodie bag.

Each guest received a reusable tote bag—because sustainability matters. We also included stationery, so guests could scribble all the golden nuggets of info from the day.
